CHEER is an environmental education resident program for all sixth grade students in Cherry Hill Public Schools in New Jersey. Students attend a school week in the Pinelands of New Jersey at Mount Misery.
Students have a pre-trip and post-trip interdisciplinary unit that prepares them for the resident experience and extension activities after the resident experience.
All lessons are direct experiences presented in a problem solving setting and rely on cooperation, communication, and collaboration on the part of the students
