http://www.usmint.gov/kids/flashIndex.cfm   This site will help students to learn about money.  It is the official US Mint website for kids.  It includes teacher resources for using the site.
http://www.ipl.org/div/kidspace/   This is the Internet Public Library's website for kids.  It allows students to search the web for pre-screened websites that will help them conduct research. 

Students can go to the "Ask a question" section and can ask one of the reference librarians to help them answer a question.

http://www.aolatschool.com/elementary/subjects/index.adp   This site offers educational video clips that play on the computer.  They have quizzes for the students to take after viewing the video as well.  You can search by subject.

http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Laboratory/Biome/   This site offers information on biomes.  It is sponsored by NASA.
http://www.pbs.org/kratts   More animals!  This site offers large print and attractive colors.  I think the younger students will benefit from this site.

http://www.onr.navy.mil/focus/ocean/   This site is sponsored by the US Navy.  It offers information about different sea animals including facts about different habitats found in water.
http://department.txwes.edu/bio/mclark/Javafiles/java_index.htm   Pictures and detailed information about animals.  Great for research!
