The PTAs of Cherry Hill
East and West will hold a volunteer fair
on Monday, February 8 at the Cherry Hill Public
Library. The event is an opportunity for students interested in
volunteering to meet with organizations that are seeking volunteers.

The
Board of Education will hold a special
action meeting and work session on
Tuesday, February 9 at the Malberg
Administration Building. The meeting will begin at
6 pm with a brief discussion on the
Board's plans for community outreach
regarding the 2010-2011 budget. The Board will go
into closed executive session at 6:30 pm and the
special action meeting and work session will follow at 7 pm. On
the work session agenda is a presentation and
discussion of class size. Click

Weather-Related School Closing Information
Adjust your calendars...Monday,
February 15, 2010, will be the make-up day for
December 21 snow day. (This is in accordance with the district's
approved calendar.)
Mark your
calendars with dates for the Cherry Hill
East production of Man of LaMancha
- March 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:30 pm and March 7
and 14 at 2 pm. Tickets go on sale soon!

At the high school level, PTA projects
are supported through East parent’s generous donations. Our funds are
used for:

PTA Scholarships to graduating
seniors

Assemblies for students

Parent programs in cooperation with
CHHS West

Four issues of the Cougar Line
If needed,

were sent home at the beginning of the year. Included in this
mailing were a donation form , a membership form as well as a form to volunteer to help PTA with
Project Graduation, Teacher
Appreciation, etc... Please complete all forms, enclosed them with your
check in the white envelope provided, and then place it in the manila
envelope that your student returns to East.

PTA Is looking for people interested in being a committee chair. Open
positions and descriptions are below. If you are interested; please

Board of Ed Reporter
–
attends Board meetings on Tuesday evenings and reports to East PTA
on activity.

Budget Reporter
–
Attends Budget meetings, beginning in February through vote in
April, and reports to East PTA.

Character Ed Representative
–
Works cooperatively with teachers and club as liason to PTA.
-
Project Graduation co-chairs
–
Work with the many volunteers on the Project Graduation committee to
organize Project Graduation which is held the evening of graduation
each June.

Nomination Committee
–
look for candidates to fill open Executive Board positions for the
2010-2011 school year.

School Announcements

Course of Study Orientations for eighth graders and
their parents will be held in January at each of the middle schools,
as follows: Beck, January 11;
Carusi, January 19; and Rosa, January 20.
If you can't attend the meeting at your child's school, feel free to
attend one at another middle school. The same material will be
covered at each meeting. Click

nights at Cherry Hill West on Wednesday, January 27

Cost of admission is $5.00. All proceeds will go to charity.

The PTAs of Cherry Hill East and West will hold a
volunteer fair at the Cherry Hill Public

20–30 non-profit organizations represented at the fair. The
organizations will share with the students of West and East the
volunteer opportunities they provide to high school students.
