We need your help NOW!
We need our Senators and Senate President Sweeney to know we have not forgotten
about the Regis Academy Charter School taking funds from our school budgets!
Please contact Senator Jim Beach and Senate Leader Sweeney TODAY.
Please tell them as a taxpayer from Voorhees / Cherry Hill, etc that you do NOT
want your tax dollars to go to charter schools at the cost of our high
performing public schools. You can also let them know you support Senate bill
S458.

The Joyce Kilmer PTA welcomes you to another exciting school year! We
hope that the 2011-2012 school year proves to be a time of new
beginnings and learning experiences for you and your children.
The PTA depends on volunteers. Some volunteers can help in a
classroom with a party or trip, some can only give an hour at a book fair,
and some may only be able to help from their home – making phone calls,
sending emails, etc.
When your child sees you volunteering for the school, they know
you are interested in what they do, and realize you feel education
is important!
PTA membership is open to anyone – parents, guardians, grandparents,
and even community members - who care about the children of Joyce
Kilmer School. We welcome and invite your participation.
In this kit you will find: a letter from our PTA president, Joelynn Owens; a
membership form, a volunteer form, a room parent form and a school
directory form. You will also find a schedule of PTA meetings and events
and contact information for the Kilmer PTA Executive Board.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve your children and our
wonderful school. We look forward to seeing you at all of our meetings
and functions.

The Fifth Grade Committee is up and running. If you have a fifth grader, we need your support! We are working on various fundraisers, activities and the yearbook. Please share your ideas to make this a fabulous last year at Kilmer for our children.

Prismatic Magic Assembly - American Pride Laser Spectacular
Grades K-5
A perfect blend of pop/rock music and patriotic songs, American Pride features
uplifting songs, such as America the Beautiful (Ray Charles), God Bless the USA (Lee
Greenwood), and Fanfare to the Common Man (Aaron Copland). The program captures the ideals
that make our nation great: liberty, diversity, and exploration of the unknown. Laser imagery
includes famous national symbols and landmarks, such as the Lincoln Memorial, Mt. Rushmore,
and the Statue of Liberty.

Hip Heart Assembly / 9:10a
The Hip Heart Program is designed to get kids physically active and engaged through Hip Hop Dance. Complete with Dance history and movement demos, the program will teach the students age appropriate Hip Hop Dance routine that will be sure to get them movin’!! Students will be able to “take home” what they learned and practice it.
Combating Childhood Obesity Through Dance.

All Day – 9:10 start time. We will have 5 - 50 minute shows. This is a large dome that inflates in the APR, and all the students walk through it – it looks like a planetarium. I still have to figure out the breakdown of grades.
