Parent Information Letter
Dear Carusi Family:
It is once again time for our students to participate in the annual "Jump Rope for Heart." The event benefits the American Heart Association and it’s many efforts to promote health and wellness. With money from fund-raisers such as "Jump Rope for Heart," the AHA strives to educate people in the prevention of heart disease and strokes.
In the past, Carusi families and the Cherry Hill community have generously supported this event.
For new parents, the "Jump Rope for Heart" is a two-part event. The actually event will take place in your child’s physical education classes from January 24- February 2. During these four class periods, all students will participate in continuous jump rope activities of great variety to promote heart health. Before and after the event, students are asked to collect donations from friends and family for their participation in the event. All moneys are given to the American Heart Association and students can receive prizes for achieving different levels of donations collected. Carusi can receive a gift certificate for physical education equipment if a minimum goal is reached.
All Carusi students will receive a collection envelope during their physical education class. Envelopes will also be available in the main office. All moneys are due by Thursday, March 24 to insure that prizes will arrive before the close of school. Please submit a check made out to the "American Heart Association" for the total of your child’s collections. All donations are tax deductible. Please give this important event your special attention and support.
Thank you,
Rich D’Alessandro and the Carusi Physical Education Staff
