One voice, every child…
Good parents are committed to helping their children grow and develop, educationally, socially, and with character. A good PTA has the same goals. Rosa’s PTA, in affiliation with National PTA, supports better education, increased resources, and safer schools in the life of every child. Together, we can continue to be a powerful voice for children and a strong advocate for public education.
The Rosa PTA is a nonprofit organization that has dedicated itself to advancing the well being of our children and families in the community. The PTA supports our children by enriching their environment through inspirational and educational assemblies and programs such as Author’s Day. We support the arts through our reflection contest and encourage character education. We like to support some fun events too, such as the 8th grade Graduation Dance and our not-to-be-missed Family Night.
Rosa PTA prides itself as a strong supporter of The Rosa International Middle School, the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate program, and, of course all of Rosa’s students, faculty, and staff.
Parents are always welcome in our school and are encouraged to participate. Easy ways to get involved can be found on the Your Opportunity to Get Involved –Volunteer Form. Please join Rosa PTA (What We do and How we Pay for it).
If you have any questions, please contact Suzanne Abrams, Rosa PTA President.Suzanne_abrams@yahoo.com Working together we are making Rosa a better place for every child.
We invite all families to join the PTA. Studies of parent involvement overwhelmingly confirm that participating in your child's school has a positive effect on children's well-being and academic achievement. Parent involvement and commitment also benefit teachers, schools, communities and the parents themselves. Our goal is to have every member of our school community participate in the PTA. It can be for as little as one hour, or as much as you are able to give to your community.
To become a member of the Rosa PTA for the 2010-2011 school year send in your membership form. The membership chair is Emilie Oberstaedt, 856-429-1278, mark.oberstaedt@verizon.net
