Rosa International Middle School PTA
PTA Ways and Means (How we pay for it)

The Rosa PTA sponsors a number of fundraising events throughout the year to provide much needed monies for supplies, events, and programs in addition to those supplied by the school budget.

Please click HERE for the Rosa 2009-10 PTA Budget that has been approved by the Rosa PTA Executive Board.  We will be voting on this budget at the Rosa PTA’s first meeting of the school year, which will take place on September 14, 2009 at 7:15 p.m. at the Rosa Media Center.

The Rosa PTA does not ask you to sell candy, wrapping paper, magazines or any other product throughout the year. Additionally, Rosa is only allowed to keep $3.35 of the PTA membership dues to use for Rosa activities (the rest goes to National, State and County PTA). This fund-raiser is a very easy, yet very important, way for you to show support for our wonderful school. We ask each family to make a donation, in an amount that they are most comfortable with, to enhance the number and scope of opportunities available to our students. Your contribution will help offset the costs associated with the following types of events and activities:

  • Student Social Events
  • Character Education Programs
  • Author Visit and Writer’s Workshop
  • Mt. Misery Snacks
  • Student/Parent/Faculty & Staff Enrichment Programs
  • Contribute today to support this important fund-raiser!

    Box Tops for Education

Send them to school in an envelope marked Box Tops and with your child's advisory printed on it or have your child bring them directly to their advisory in an envelope marked Box Tops.

Clip and save qualifying box tops from participating General Mills cereals, Betty Crocker products, Yoplait yogurt, Kleenex, and Zip-lock products and other items.

Every box top is worth 10 cents to RIMS. Last year $454 was earned. AND, if you enroll in the booster club the school will earn additional money.

Your Advisory can win a Pizza Party!

The student advisory that collects the most Box Tops earns a pizza party with beverages & dessert for lunch! The rules are simple: Cut the Box Top labels off of all General Mills Cereals, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Totino’s Pizzas, Nature Valley Granola Bars, Old El Paso, Yoplait, Hamburger Helper, Kleenex, Scott, Viva, Cottenelle, Hefty and Ziploc bags/containers. For a complete list of participating products, view www.boxtops4education.com

All Box Tops must be in good condition in order for them to count – the expiration date cannot be cut off, so be careful when cutting them out. Please send them to your child’s advisory in a plastic baggie labeled with the amount and advisory teacher.
