What is the Character Education Committee?

The committee consists of Parents and Teachers and serves as an umbrella for existing programs including Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Green Team and Service Learning Projects.  In addition, the Committee fosters a connection between home and school.  We are focusing our year on "Smart and Good" words of the month as follows:

October

Hardworking

Responsible

November

Positive Attitude

Acceptance

December

Dedicated

Caring

January

Motivated

Cooperative

February

Ambitious

Respectful

March

Sportsmanship

April

May

June

These words will be introduced on the first school day of each month in a school wide morning meeting forum.  At these meetings the students and staff will say the Pledge of Allegiance, the Woodcrest School Pledge and the words of the month will be introduced by a grade level.
